A Different Keep on an Unrelated Borderland
A downloadable game
A Different Keep on an Unrelated Borderland is a collaborative worldbuilding tool to be used before session zero of a dnd 5e campaign.
What is it for
By sharing creative input this game aims to reduce the prep overhead for the game master, increase player investment in the setting, allows players to create more ground characters connected to the world, and generate a more interesting and granular setting by letting more people contribute to it.
What it does
Creates a map of two multicultural nations locked in conflict. A conflict for the gm to use as the backdrop and setting for a dnd 5e campaign. In the centre of the map is a keep that will be central to this campaign and the story of the conflict; it is your keep in the centre of your borderland.
Unfinished Work
As it stands, this game is not finished.
Look forward to the following updates
- Let's be honest, some editing to make things clearer and tight up the writing. Feedback welcome
- Formatting and design.
- Illustrations, including examples/doodles for each playbook
- More cultural questions for each playbook.
- I probably need to include the licensing stuff since I use a lot of proper nouns.
